Melbouene. —The Argus, of Wednesday, Dec. 9, says:—" About 100 tons of flour of various brands were quilted ut £13 net; for a small lot disposed of at the same time a trifle less money was accepted ; we likewise hear of a line of 100 tons having changed hands privately at £13. For trade parcels, best brands, we quote up to £13 10s. In miiize the demand is still circumscribed; trade parcels, however, continue to be moved off at 4s. 4d. to 4s. 4Jd. Oats are inactive ; we note sales of New Zealand at 3s. 9d. Sugar is in brisk inquiry. Some 1300 bags of Bourbon sugars were quitted this forenoon at £28 15s. for rations, and £33 10s. to £34 10s. for yellow counters. Teas are not lively. Currants are wanted, and trade parcels are got rid of at 4d., and a trifle under. The low prices ruling for rice, and the large quantities coming forward, direct more attention to that article. Sydney.—The Sydney Morning Herald, of Dec. 5, reports : —" The receipts of wheat and flour have been large, but as our stocks had become very much reduced, prices vere -well supported until the past week. They have now a declining tendency, and may be expected to fall much lower in view of a plentiful harvest, which is now being reaped in this Colony and South Austaalia." Hobart Town, December 4.—Flour, from £14 10s. to £15 per ton.
