NATIVE DETECTIVES FOR WANGANUI.
The Times of Dee. sth, suggests to the authorities the advisability of employing three or four intelligent native detectives whose duty it would be to apprehend all suspected Hauhaus that might be found in the town or suburbs. It is a notorious fact that spies and scouts from Tito Kowaru's camp daily visit this town, purchase goods, read the newspapers, attend public* places of resorfc, and carry off intelligence.
