Correspondence.

To the Editor of the Colonist.

Sir—Many addresses have beeu sent to her Majesty from many different bodies of men. We, on the outskirts of her empire, are not less loyal, nor less grateful for the benefits the late Prince conferred upon tho nation, by his good deeds and high example as Christian, gentleman, husband, and father. Our beloved Queen, although sovereign of an empire on which the sun never sets, was a happy wife, is now a widow. May be the knowledge that her husband was appreciated even at the antipodes, and that her people love her more ia grief than in happiness, more even as a woman than as Queen, would be acceptable. SYMPATHY*
