ROAD EXPENDITURE
MAINLY BELOW ESTIMATES FOR YEAR OTOROHANGA COUNTY TREASURER’S REPORT The following is the road expenditure in the various ridings of the Otorohanga County for the year ending November 15 last as presented in the treasurer’s report to the Council last Monday. In the Honikiwi Riding £567 was expended on highways of which the Riding share was £142, which plus £842 Riding expenditure on other roads, made a total Riding expenditure of £984 against the estimate for the year of £l4OO. In the Mangaorongo Riding, £456 was expended on highways of which the Riding share was £ll4, which plus £lBl3 Riding expenditure on other roads made a total Riding expenditure of £1927 against the estimate for the year of £3025. In the Te Rau-a-moa Riding £1314 was expended on highways, of which the Riding share was £329, which pius £lB4l Riding expenditure on other roads made a total Riding expenditure of £2170 against the estimate for the year of £1875. Te Rauamoa Riding was the only Riding in which expenditure exceeded estimates. In the Waipa Riding £305 was expended on highways of which the Riding share was £76, which plus £llOB Riding expenditure on other roads made a total Riding expenditure of £llB4 against the estimate for the year of £1675. In the Wharepapa Riding £778 was expended on highways of which £195 was the Riding share, Which, plus £1791 made a total Riding expenditure of £1986 against the estimate for the year of £2660. The total amount expended over the whole of the County on highways was £3420, of which the riding’s share was £856, which plus £7395 expended On other roads made a total expenditure over all the ridings in the County of £8251 against the total estimate for the year of £10,525.
