BORSTAL ESCAPEE
VERY DISTINGUISHED FEATURES Cecil Te Whiu, a Maori described as a labourer, aged 22, 5 feet 8£ inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes, escaped from the Waikeria Borstal Institution last Monday afternoon. He had been working on lawns at the institution at the time he disappeared and since then he has not been seen. It was his second escape from a Borstal Institution and warders and police have been carrying out a widespread search for him all over the district. Te Whiu has some very distinguishing features by which he may be recognised, the tip of his left little finger and the tips' of his right middle and ring fingers have been taken off.
