LADIES’ GOLF

CLOSING DAY On Saturday, the 19th November, the Te Awamutu Ladies’ Golf Club concluded their 1949 season with a Canadian foursome match over 12 holes, the winners of this being Mrs J. Bundle and Mrs Galpin. The annual meeting was then held, the captain, Mrs Rathbone, presiding. Many club matters were discussed and officers for the 1950 season were elected:—Mrs Page, captain; Mrs Napier, vice-captain; Mrs H. McDonald, handicap-manager; Miss E. Munro, secretary-treasurer; Mrs Tosswill, Mrs Rigby, Mrs Kirk, Mrs Gee and Miss Baillie forming the committee. At the conclusion of tlhe |mee|inj? Mrs Sadd presented the retiring captain and secretary and the representative of the Social Committee, with a bouquet each. The trophies won during the season were then and a sumptuous afternoon Tea, brought the 1949 season to a close.
