YOUNG FARMERS’ CLUB BALL . The annual ball of the Ngahinepouri Young Farmers’ Club was the usual success, many visitors and dancers from other districts attending, and good music and a sumptuous poultry supper being a feature of the evening. The Hall was decorated with streamers and balloons in the colours of blue and gold with the club initials “Y.F.C.” as the centre motif. The music was supplied by Ryburn’s Orchestra with an extra played by Miss Anne Henderson. Mr Gordon Smith acted as master of ceremonies and the winners of competition dances were Mrs G. Scott and Mr M. Wright (Monte Carlo) and Miss O* Piper and Mr lan Boyes (the balloon Monte Carlo). Personal Mrs H. G. Laurent and her daughter, Miss Barbara-Jean Fair, are Ngahinepouri visitors to Takapuna.
