FOR THE LADIES
LONDON FASHION SHOW BAT-WING SLEEVES Round shoulder lines and bat-wing sleeves give a casual and easy-to-wear look to long sweaters and waistlength cardigans shown by Dorville in London recently, says the New Zealand Wool Board’s London fashion writer. Hip-length twin-sets feature ribbed yokes and waist-bands on tiebelted cardigans, and long sleeved sweaters finish V-shaped neck-lines with revers. Off-the-shdulder draw-string neckline evening jumpers with a deep band of ribbing from the waist are seen in white, a wide range of attractive colours and black—the latter introducing a tinsel band at the low neckline. An attractive Dorville sweater suitable for evening wear features batwing sleeves, with the tailored severity relieved by tinsel stripes.
