HAMILTON STOCK SALE The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co. Ltd. report that at their ■weekly stock sale held at Hamilton on Tuesday, a large yarding of fat sheep came forward. Competition was steady and although last week’s top quotation was not reached, on the whole prices were a shade firmer. An average yarding of fat ewes fully maintained recent quotations, while values for an average yarding of fat lambs were unchanged. Fat bullocks were yarded in average numbers and although the demand was steady values declined on last week’s rates. A full yarding of cow and heifer beef met a steady demand and values remained firm. The veal pens were filled and sold on a firm market at recent prices.
