Trespass on Racecourse
A conviction fine of 20j with payment of Court costs 10s was imposed on William John Wyatt when he was charged befor? Mr S. L. Paterson, S.M. in the Te Awamutu Court yesterday on a charge of unlawful trespass on the Waipa Racing Club’s course during the progress of a racemeeting. Sergeant A. Bissel who prosecuted stated that he saw the defendant on the course and ordered him off. Wyatt in a letter said he did not know that he was not entitled to be on the coursb thougn fhe Sergeant said defendant when accosted admitted he had no right to be there.
