Modern Ambulance
The first temperature-controlled ambulance in New Zealand is now in operation at the Wellington Free Ambulance Station. Commander C. H. Kersley, secretary-treasurer of the Canterbury and West Coast Centre of the Order of St John, said that two temperature-controlled ambulances had been in use in Christchurch for the last two years and the system would be installed in all new ambulances. The temperature of the air in the interior of the ambulances can be controlled from the driver’s seat.
