The parting thought as given by Mr G. D. Shepherd at last night’s meeting of the Te Awamutu Rotary Club was: “Life is just a grindstone, but whether it grinds you down, or just polishes you up, depends on the stuff of which you arc made.” Te Kuili Hospital The provision of additions to the, nurses’ home, extensions to the hospital verandahs, and construction of adequate nursery facilities at Te Kuiti .Hospital was the subject of sketch .plans forwarded to the Director-General of Health by the Waikato Hospital Board recently. The estimated cost of the work was £15,750, and the. Department’s reaction to the proposal was being awaited, members of the board wore advised at their meeting in Hamilton on Monday. Installations Increasing The chief electrical inspector to the Te Awamutu Electrical Power Board, Mr A. J. Tailby, ieported to board members at their meeting cn Tuesday that 113 installations and extensions had bec.n tested and inspected during the- past month. Total number of inspections to date were 11,116, as compared with 9973 for August of last year. All installations at Te Rau-a-Moa ready for connection have been tested, inspected and connected, and re-inspections for the month totalled 1225.
