COUNTY RATES
NO INCREASE IN OTOROHANGA FIGURES FOR ALL RIDINGS APPROVED The following rates for the ridings named were agreed to by the Otorohanga County Council at yesterday’s meeting:—Honikiwi Riding, 5Ad in the £, estimated to produce £1446; Mangaorongo Riding, 4id in the £, estimated to produce £4032; Te Rau-a-Moa Riding, sBd in the £, estimated to produce £2854; Waipa Riding, &Jd in the £, estimated to produce £2385; Wharepapa Riding, 4 5/16d in the £, estimated to produce £3700. The Hospital Rate was fixed at 13d in the pound. The rating is on the unimproved value. In several special rating areas, a slight increase in rates was found to be necessary, but the general rates show no increase on those of last year, when it was found necessary to make a substantial increase.
