A Kindly Offer
Wlhat was described as a very thoughtful gesture was that of the Ohaupo Bowling Club in offering its playing greens to the Te Awamutu Bowling Club on the occasion of the latter’s three big days when the local playing areas were taxed to capacity. Mr Rainey, who made the offer known, said it had been conveyed to him by Mr Emett and Mr O’Connor, members of Ohaupo Bowling Club. It was decided to accept the kindly offer and to refer it to the executive to deal with. Mr Grant moved the motion to that effect.
