St. Andrew’s Church The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated at the morning service in St. Andrew’s Church on Sunday. A service of preparation will be held on Saturday evening at 7.30 o’clock. Class One Post Office Advice has been received that the Te Awamutu Post Office has been classified and is now in Class one. Equally pleasing to residents of the town and district is the fact that the Postmaster, Mr Shearer, has been promoted so that he is to remain as Postmaster. The congratulations of a wide circle of friends will be extended to Mr Shearer. , Wrestling Match Te Awamutu wrestling fans contributed their quota to the packed house that greeted Blomfield and Katan in their match in Hamilton last night. Judging by comments heard this morning, patrons were well satisfied with the fare provided. Blomfield took the place of Claybourne, the negro wrestler, who was ■unable to appear. Last night’s match resulted in a draw—one fall each.

Servicemen’s Homes Out of 128 State houses and flats allocated to servicemen during April 59 were to Wellington applicants and 29 to Auckland. Poultry Market G. D. Shepherd and Co. offered at their weekly sale yesterday a large yarding of poultry and prices realised were lower than the previous sale. Forward W.L. heni/realised up to 6s 6d, while ducks were in demand at 3s 9d each. Prices realised were as follows: Turkey hens 11s, ducks 3s 9d, W.L. hens 2s to 6s 6d, W.L. roosters 3s to 6s 6d, 8.0. hens 4s to 6s, 8.0 roosters and cockerels 4s to 7s, Rhode Island Red hens 6s, 8.0. pullets 13s, W.L. pullets 6s to 9s.
