WEDDING
CEREMONY AT AUCKLAND BURCHELL—MANGAN A wedding of local interest took place on Saturday, June Ist, in Auckland, when the marriage of Miss Norma Rowell Mangan, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs W. R. Mangan, Auckland, to Mr Henry Ward Burchell, elder son of Mr and Mrs H. A. Burchell, Te Awamutu, was solemnised at St. Mathews Church. The Rev. Canon Coates officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming trained gown of white satin inset with bands cf vvhite lace giving shoulder emphasis, and cut on classical lines. Her embroidered veil was held in place with a halo of flowers and she carried a shower bouquet of white roses and shrysanthemums. Frocks of shell pink and ice blue crinkled chiffon were worn by the bridesmaids, Miss Beulah Mangan and Miss Tui Burchell. They wore headdresses of pink and white roses to match their bouquets. Mr Gerald Phillips, of Auckland, was best man and Mr Don Guthrie, of Waiuku was groomsmanThe reception was held at the Lanchester Reception Hall, and later at the home of Mr and Mrs G. Hart, of Epsom.
