Mr and Mrs Pocock, of Waihi, who have been guests of their daughter, Mrs J. Cunliffe, returned home yesterday.
Staff Nurse J. D. Welham, of the Waikato Hospital, is spending a holiday with her parents, Mr and Mrs F. V. Welham, Bank Street.
Leading Aircraftman Ralph Tailby, of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, who has been in the Pacific, arrived home last night.
The Te Awamutu Bobby Calf Pool Committee yesterday decided to forward a letter of sympathy to Mr G. O. Jourdain on his illness and wishing him a speedy recovery.
The engagement is announced between Maurice Kitchener Dixon, Second N.Z E.F. (returned), sixth son of Mrs M. J. B. Dixon, Sloane Street, Te Awamutu, and the late Mr A. Dixon, of Pirongia, and Jean Dorothy, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs F. V. Welham, Bank Street, Te Awamutu.
