Messrs R. R. Blade, Hallyburton Johnstone, and A. A. Sanderlands are the official nominees of the Farmers’ Union for seats on the Electoral College.
Appreciation of the service given to settlers of Pokuru and Te Mawhia districts by Mr Geogre Galloway during his employment with Messrs H. Andrew and Sons, was given tangible form on Friday night when he was presented with a well-ffilled wallet, the presentation being made by Miss Wood, formerly of the office staff of Andrew and Sons- Several speakers testified to Mr Galloway’s obliging manner and wished him success with his new employers.
