As a result of the successful concert at Otorohanga last Thursday, the Te Hoana Kaha Tribal War Effort funds will benefit to the extent of £lB Os 4d. Patriotic Concert A grand concert in aid of patriotic funds will be held in the Empire Theatre on Sunday night, when the newly-formed municipal orchestra will be assisted by outstanding artists. Big Loss Sustained As a result of the fire which destroyed her home opposite “ Green Hill ” on Thursday afternoon, Mrs R. E. Fowler is a heavy loser. The house was insured for £l2OO, and the furniture for £450, in the Alliance Insurance Office.
