HOME ATMOSPHERES

SICK AND WOUNDED AMERICANS APPEAL TO HOUSEHOLDERS Those who have served overseas will appreciate fully what it means to a convalescent soldier to be introduced to the atmosphere and comforts of a decent home. Through the Red Cross Society an appeal is being launched for persons to accommodate sick and wounded American servicemen. This is an opportunity, it is confidently anticipated, of which very many Te Awamutu people will avail themselves, for conscious of the hardships tq which these men have been subjected in the Pacific and"other islands to preserve freedom they will be only too pleased to facilitate their early return to health.

It is pointed out by the Society headquarters that those offering hospitality should also be willing to do everything essential in promoting the comfort and happiness of guests during their stay. Those prepared to offer hospitality are asked to communicate with the Te Awamutu Red Cross Society, giving the following information:— 1— Name and address of family. 2 Number of men able to accommodate. 3 Number of days can accommodate. 4 Denomination of hosts. 5 State if there are any young people in the home, giving sex and age.
