SOCIAL AFTERNOON
CROQUET CLUB A very enjoyable social afternoon promoted by the Te Awamutu Croquet Club was held at the home of Mrs Boryer on Wednesday, when there was a good attendance of members and friends. Bridge and five hundred were played, the following receiving the highest score:— Bridge, Mrs H. C. Rainey; 500, Mrs J. Tolich. A competition was won by Mrs R. Knight. Among those present were:—Mesdames Armstrong, Webber, Boryer, Chunn, Elliott, Thomson, Blackburn, Tolich, Knight, Roberts, Manson, Meredith, O’Brien, McKerrow, Rainey, Young, Whyte, Downes, Marsh, Ryan, Paul, Cullen, Goodall, R. Guy, W. A. Guy (Hawera), Miss Luscombe (Hawera), Warner, Jourdain, Hopping, S. Clark, Irwin, Cole, Grant, C. Brown, Burchell and Miss T. O’Connor.
