WAIPA RUGBY UNION

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS The weekly meeting of the Waipa Rugby Union Management Committee was held on Wednesday, Mr J. L. Callaghan presiding. An application from the Technical Old Boys’ Club, Hamilton, for permission to play a Pirongia man in the Technical Old Boys’ team was refused, as the man could play for the Waipa Union if he desired to. A notice from Hamilton stating that three rounds were to be played in the Stag competition was unfavourably received. Messrs R. Guy, W. Betts and J. L. Callaghan were empowered to discuss the matter with the Hamiltcti officials on Saturday next. A challenge was received from the Morrinsville Union for the Finlay Cup. Waipa should not challenge for the Clarke Cup. Mr Guy reported that he had received five school footballs from the Waikato Rugby Union as Waipa’s quota. These footballs would be distributed as applications come forward.
