TE AWAMUTU AND CAMBRIDGE TEDDY SHIELD COMPETITION On Wednesday Te Awamutu District High School first fifteen met the Cambridge School team at Cambridge in the first round of the inter-school Teddy Shield competition. A hardfought game played in rain resulted in a draw, the score being three points each. Owing to this indecisive result a further match will be played in Te Awamutu., the winner to meet the winner between the southern teams, Otorohanga and Te Kuiti. Basketball games played at Cambridge resulted:— A team: Te Awamutu 20, Cambridge 16B team: Te Awamutu 17, Cambridge 0.
