TENNIS
THE PIRONGIA CLUB. The Pirongia Tennis Club held its opening day last Saturday, and quite a large number of players and spectators attended. Mr Hugh Miller welcomed all, and then asked Mrs W. H. Bell to come forward and hit the first ball over the net. The day was fine, and very interest ■ ing tennis was witnessed. A dainty afternoon tea Was served by the ladies.
