Several young men resident in Te Awamutu and district, who had volunteered for service in the Royal New Zealand Air Force, proceeded to Hamilton to-day to undergo the requisite medical examination.
As portions of the tar-sealing on the main Cambridge-Te Awamutu main highway shows unmistakable signs of wear, a gang is now engaged top-dressing these parts and bringing them once again up to standard requirements. At present the stretch of road between the farms of Mr Geo Hall and Mr M. McNair is receiving attention.
