MATINEE SPORTS. The usual weekly matinee sports . meeting of the Te Awamutu Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club was held at Albert Park on Wednesday evening. Results: 220 yards handicap: K. Rickit, 9 yds, 1; D. Paul, 12 yds, 2; W. Kepple, 12 yds, 3. Won by two yards, thirdman very close up. Time 23 2-5. Five started. 75 yards handicap: K. Rickit, 6 yds. 1; Geo. Reilly, 11 yds, 2; D. Paul,. 8 yds, 3. Won by half a yard, with in--ches between second and third. Six .. started. ...... Cycle handicap, 1J miles: Keith -■ Dalziel, 350 yds, 1; Geo. Allen, 60 .1-. yds, 2; T. Dalziel, 65 yds, 3. Won very . .. easily, inches between second and third. Five started. Cycle Handicap, two miles: Keith Dalziel, 400 yds, 1; B. Irwin, 210 yds, • 2; G. Allen, 80 yds, 3. K. Dalziel rode steadily, and eventually won by a third of a lap. The four other riders bunched early in the race, which was enlivened by ocr.sionn.l bursts, mainly by G. Allen, but they had no chance - of catching the limit man. Irwin came through In the straight to gain I second honours by half a wheel. ' • ■' Shot put handicap: G. Reilly 1, K. I Rickit 2, N.
