48 MEN FROM NO. 4 AREA. TO ENCAMP NEXT WEEK-END. The selection of men from the No. 4 military area to be trained for posts as non-commissioned officers for the second echelon of the New Zealand Forces for overseas service has been approved and the men chosen will enter camp next Saturday. Those who are at present serving in the Territorial Forces will retain their rank but aU. others will go into camp as cadet non-commissioned officers and will receive the pay of privates. The ranks held are ary only until the completion ofrflU. course. The No. 4 military area will send 48 men into camp. Some of them will encamp at Hopu Hopu, others at Narrow Neck, Trentham, and Burnham. Of the various units mentioned in the list below, the Divisional Cavalry is trained at Hopu Hopu; those attached to the New Zealand Artillery will also encamp at Hopu Hopu, the anti-tank regiment N.Z.A., at Hopu* Hopu; the Field Company at Nariow Neck; the Divisional Signallers at Trentham; the 21st Infantry Rifle Battalion at Narrow Neek; the Headquarters sth Infantry at Treritham; the Antitank Company at Trentham; the Divisional Ammunition Column at Narrow Neck; the Light Aid Detachment at Hopu Hopu; and the sth Field Ambulance at Bumham. Men going to Bumham will leave Hamilton on December 7th, men for Trentham will leave on December Bth, and those for • Hopu Hopu and Narrow Neck will travel north on December 9th.
