LAWN TENNIS
HAIRINI CLUB. The annual meeting of the Hairini Tennis Club was held on Monday evening, when Mr K. Balme presided over a good attendance of members. The balance-sheet disclosed a sound financial position, and another successful season is anticipated. Arrangements weer made for the opening of the season to be held on Saturday, 30th September. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—• President, Mr K. Balme; vice-pre-sidents, Messrs Bryant, Glasson, and D. Onion; secretary and treasurer, Miss Margaret Glasson; auditor, Mr T. Dibble; club captain, Mr R. Glasson; vice-captain, Mr D. Onion; committee, Messrs H. Onion, H. Spencer, O. Payne, and N. Hall and Mesdames Collison, Dibble, and Balme.
