GREATER MEMBERSHIP
RETURNED SOLDIERS’ ASSOCIATION. OFFICIAL FIGURES FOR YEAR. The official financial membership returns for New Zealand have been made available by the Dominion Returned Soldiers’ Association, and these reveal that the total of 31,549 is a record for the Association, being 1284 more than last year. The figures for each island are as follow: North Island, 70 associations, 20,335 members; South Island, 20 associations, 11,214 members; total, 90 associations, 31,549 members. Twelve years ago the total national membership was only 6671. The positions of a selected list of branches, together with total membership and last year’s figures in parentheses for comparative purposes, are
