THE DAIRYING INDUSTRY
AMERICAN EXPERT. VISIT TO THE WAIKATO. An interesting visitor to the Waikato is Professor J. H. Kolb, of the College of Agriculture, University of Wisconsin, America. Professor Kolb is the leading authority in the United States of America on rural sociology and is visiting New Zealand in an advisory capacity to the Government in regard to the national survey of living conditions on farms. He is an author of note and on many occasions has been called upen by the American Government to investigate Federal problems. Professor Kolb, who is collaborating with the Social Science Bureau, which carried out the national survey last year, is visiting the Waikato for the purpose of analysing the schedules prepared with the object of presenting reports. W'hile in the district he will take the opportunity of inspecting farms to obtain a knowledge pf local conditions, while he will also confer with farming leaders.
