TWO NEW SEATS CREATED. - TE AWAMUTU TRANSFERRED WAIKATO. .Provisional electoral boundaries determined by the representation commissions appointed to adjust the boundaries in accordance with *lie distribution of population revealed by the census taken last year were announced to-night by the Minister in charge of the Electoral Department, the Hon. H. G. R. Mason. The South Island loses one seat in the House of Representatives, that of Chalmers, at present held by Mi A. Campbell (Labour) and the Norin Island gains one. Oroua, now held by Mr J. G. Cobbe, a member of the previous Ministry, is absorbed, partly by Rangitikei and partly by Manawatu, and new decorates are formed on the outskirts of Wellington and Auckland cities.

Tauranga is to extend to the Rangitaiki t'hver and includes the Matamata borough and . the immediately surrounding district. Rotorua is very little altered, tire principal amendment being the exclu sion cf Matamata from Hinuera northward. Hamilton loses parts of Rototuna and Rukuhia. Waikato extends from the Hamii-ton-Te Arolia railway to the Puniu river, including Te Awamutu, Pirongia and Paterangi, which have been excluded from Waitomo and Raglan. Waitomo, witli the exception of the exclusion of Te Awamutu, remains practically unaltered. Waimarino extends southward to include tlie bor ough of Taihape.
