French, of Matangi, who will be officiating at the morning service at St. Andrew’s, Te Awamutu, on Sunday, will read the finding of the recent tri-ennial visitation of the parish, made by the Waikato Presbytery. It will come as no surprise to members of the congregation of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, but other members of the community will be keenly interested to learn that at a meeting of the congregation of the Rev. A. C. Whitelaw, 8.A., who has been in charge of the pastorate for the past six and a-half years, is leaving to take charge of the St. Andrew’s Church at Blenheim. A telegram was received in Te Awamutu this morning stating that the congregation at Blenheim had, the previous evening, sustained the call, and inquiry from Mr Whitelaw, just before going to press, confirmed the statement. Mr Whitelaw has done splendid service at St. Andrew’s Te Awamutu, in all branches of church work, as also has Mrs Whitelaw. and they will take away with them the hearty good wishes of the whole community. We understand they leave Te Awamutu at the end of next month.
