“ I am of the opinion that people of to-day are making too much use of their M.P.’s,” said the Hon. J. Cotter, M.L.C., at Te Aroha on Friday. “ J think they should be like the old pioneers and stand more on their own feet. From my own observations 1 know that the M.P.’s in Wellington are writing, writing, day and night answering letters from all over their constituencies—they have become little more than glorified clerks.”
