CROQUET
THE TE AWAMUTU CLUB. The local Croquet Club closed the season on Friday last with a salestable and a consolation tournament. It was a beautiful day, and practically every member of the Club was present. During the afternoon trophies won (luring the season were presented as follows:.—i Championship: Mrs Dowds. Collins Cup: Mrs Dowds. A and B Doubles: Mesdames Chunn and Meredith. B. Handicap: Mrs Paul. C Handicap: Mrs Nelson; runner-up, Mrs Zoftrab. Most Improved Player: Mrs Meredith. Progressive A: Ml’s Davis. Progressive B Mrs Webber. Break A: Mrs McArthur. Break B: Mrs Webber. Consolation A. Mesdames Pearte and Rainey. Consolation A: runners-up Mesdames Noonan and Nobes. Consolation B: Mesdames B. Pascoe and Lee. Runnersup Mesdames Clark and Wyilie. Clock golf: Mrs Meredith. A special prize donated by Mrs Ryan was won by Mrs Paul. Donors of trophies were Mesdames Dowds, Jourdain, Noonau, Nobes, I’eartc, Burchell, Clark, Lee and Goodell.
