SEASONAL WEATHER CONDITIONS. (Our Resident Representative.) RAGWORT PEST. The sharemilkers' meeting at the Friendly Societies’ Hall, Otorohanga, was largely attended from all parts of the district, when Mr Millicich pre sided. It was decided to form a branch of the Sharemilkers’ Union, and a strong committee was set up. A delegate was to attend the national confer ence at Wellington on the 22nd inst. CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. The Otorohanga Chamber of Com uercs held their annual meeting on Monday evening, when the president (Mr C. A. Jackson) presided. The pre sident’s report showed that the Chamber was in a healthy financial condition, after allowing for an expenditure of £l2 for street decorations, etc. The election ot officers resulted: President, Mr C. A. Jacks'm; vice-pre-sidents, Messrs D. 11. McMurray , A. Fleming, J. Saunders, A. Addison and J. Turnbull; secretary and treasurer, Mr D. H. McMurray. MAGISTRATE’S COURT. At the monthly sitting of the Magis trate's Court, presided over by Mr F. H. Levien, S.M., at Otorohanga on Tuesday, the following police cases were dealt with:--Clive Hammond, of Roxburgh, Otago, was charged with selling apparel in Otorohanga without, being the holder of a license from the Town Board. He was fined 10s and costs 10s.

Rawire Turner, of Hangatiki, was charged with having failed to give way, when riding a motor cycle, to traffic approaching from the right, at the intersection of the two principal streets of the town. He was fined £1 and ordered to pay 10s costs. Herbert C. Page, of Otorohanga, for riding a motor cycle in a careless manner, was fined 10s and 10s costs.
