The dismissal of 15 men from the Aranuni hydro - electric extension works allegedly because they were formerly farm labourers, was referred to the Minister of Labour, the Hon. H. T. Armstrong. The Minister replied that he had no knowledge of the circumstances of the matter. The Department has no control over the jobs themselves. We are primarily concerned with the finding of work, and the payment of wages,” he explained.
