Constable E. McDonnell, Waipiro Bay, is transferred to Otorohanga, where he will replace Constable Fry, who has retired. Mr and Mrs H. Washer, of Hawera, were visitors to Te Awamutu yesterday. Wei understand that Rev. ColdhamFussell and M sses Coldham-Fussell, who have been residing in Te Awamutu for the past two months, return to Kawhia to-morrow. Rev. M. Sullivan, the vicar-elect of Te Awamutu, and his wife, arrived yesterday from Grey Lynn, and have already been heartily welcomed by parishioners of St. John’s in informal meetings. It is announced from Wellington that Detective-Sergeant P. Doyle (formerly of Te Awamutu) has been transferred from the commissioner’s office as an addition to the detective s“aff at Hastings, where he will be in charge of that branch. Mr R. G. Andrew, of Te Awamutu, was a passenger by the Main Trunk express for Wellington last evening. He is the representative of the South Auckland Carriers’ Association at a sitting of the Arbitration Court in connection with the industrial awards affecting motor - vehicle drivers.
