MASTER BUTCHERS
ADOPT UNIVERSAL HOURS. The largest meeting of master butchers ever held in New Zealand took place on Monday in Wellington, when representatives from every provincial district assembled to consider the effect of the shorter working week. It was decided to universally adopt hours which close butchers’ shops throughout New Zealand at 4.30 p.m. on five days per week and at noon on Saturday. The new hours of closing will become effective as from Ist September. v
