LAWN TENNIS
DAIRY FACTORY CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING. The annual general meeting of the N.Z. Co-op. Dairy Co’s Club at Te Awamutu was held in the offices of the factory on Tuesday evening. Mr A. H. Roberts presided. The minutes of the previous annual meeting were read and confirmed. The following were the officers elected for the 1936-37 season: Patron, Mr J. T. Young, re-elected; president, Mr A. H. Roberts, re-elected; treasurer, Mr H. E. Roberts; secretary, Mr E. Missen, re-elected; captain, Mr L. Smart, re-elected; vice-captain, Mr A. F. Harvey; captain of B team, Mr J. Fleming; committee, Mesdames A. Richards and H. Giles, Misses H. Roberts and E. Clarke, Messrs H. Ward, J. Fleming, H. Giles, E. Douglas and E. Smart. ~ It was decided to open the new season on Saturday, 19th September, to l>e followed by a dance in the evening, when trophies won last year will be presented.
