ON THE MARCH. (Our Resident Representative.) Mrs Bullock, of Wellington, and her four children, who during recent weeks have been on a hiking trip, between Wellington and Auckland, slopped over for two days at Otorohanga, where they were the guests of the Rev. T. H. Burton, of the local Presbyterian manse. LODGE INSTALLATION. High prices are being offered for suitable cattle. MOTOR COLLISION. A head-on collision occurred in the main street, Otorohanga, yesterday evening between a heavy car, travelling northwards, and a lighter car, south-bound. Both vehicles were extensively damaged. The occupants, a family party from Oh'aupo, 1 n the large car, and a young man and his wife in the small vehicle, were very fortunate in escaping injury. BRIDGE AND FIVE HUNDRED. A largely attended bridge and 500 party was held in Mrs Young’s tea rooms, Otorohanga, last night, when, as a result, a considerable sum was raised to aid the funds of St. Bride's Ladies’ Guild. The Rev. K. Small, vicar of Otorohanga, was master of ceremonies. Mr W. J . Diamond, of Waitomo Caves, is the purchaser of Mr J. Glenie’s farm, near Otorohanga, at a price satisfactory to both parties.
