The Limited express from Wellington was very late in reaching Te A.wamutu on Saturday morning, and arrived at Auckland at 11.53, over two hours late, through delays on the way. The express was delayed between Wellington and Marton, and left the latter place 41 minutes late. At Erua the late running was added to by engine trouble. From that point, however, the express made up some of the lost time. There was exceptionally heavy traffic on the express, and extra cars had been added to accommodate the number of youthful passengers returning after the school holidays.
