WEDDING BELLS

MILLINGTON—GOULD. The marriage was solemnised at St. Alban’s Church, Pio Pio, on the evening of May 4th, between Marjorie, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs F. Gould, “Kerione,” Pio Pio, and Gilbert eldest son of Mr and Mrs H. Millington, of “ Mahoe,” Bay of Islands. The Rev. F. Dawson performed the ceremony and Mrs Dinnison presided at the organ. The church had been beautifully arranged in autumn shaded flowers by Mrs L. Young. The bride, who is wellknown in Te Awamutu, entered the church with her father. She wore a lovely gown of ivory panne velvet cut on classical lines with close fitting sleeves and cowl neckline, the skirt falling in a graceful train. She wore a beautiful old veil caught at the back with a cluster blossom and carried a trailing bouquet of white chrysanthemums. Miss Jill Gould (youngest sister of the bride) was the bridesmaid, and wore a frock of daffodil panne velvet with touches of green, and a head band of flowers to tone with her frock. She carried a bouquet of yellow chrysanthemums. Misses Betty Ronaldson and Pat Allison were the flower girls, and wore Elizabethan period frocks of green velvet with toning floral hairbands. They carried posies of golden calendulas. Mr John ißobison, of Whangarei, was best man, and Mr S. Ronaldson acted as usher. After the ceremony a reception was held at “ Kerione,” the home of the bride’s parents, where the rooms were delightfully arranged with autumn shaded flower. The guests were received by Mrs Gould, wearing a frock of floral crepe de chine with accessories to tone and <noft fur coat. She carried a posy of bronze chrysanthemums. The bridegroom’s mother was wearing a wine coloured frock with hat to match and toning bouquet. When Mr and Mrs G. Millington left by car for the honeymoon the bride travelled wearing a nigger brown costume with hat to tone, and beautiful brown fur. They will make their home at Pio Pio.
