FIGURES FOR PAST THREE YEARS. ‘Not the least Interesting feature of the annual meeting of the Te Awa mutu' Electric Power Board on Friday was the presentation by the secretarymanager, Mr D. McArthur, of comparative figures of the Board’s operations for the past three years. For instance, the connected load figures were quoted for 1934, 1935 and 1936,_ each year ending on March 31st. Lighting was 698.643, 732.750 and 789.235; heating was 3966.460, 4274. 920 and 4773.830; power 1326.778, 1362.072 and 1413.822; street lighting 12.450, 12.450 and 12.450, and bulk supply 469, 469 and 469. The totals were 6473.331, 6851.192 and 7458.337. Revenue in the year 1934 totalled £28,852 5s 4d, representing a decrease ot 1.6 per cent; in the following year the total revenue was £30,162 Us 6d, an increase of 4,5 per cent, while in 15)36 it was £29,346 5s 4d, a decrease of 2.7 per cent. The maximum demands were, in the separate years, 1229 kilowatts, 1219.2 and 1219.2; while the diversity was 5.27. 5.62 and 6.12. The report also ' detailed * connections, exclusive of small heating appliances and electric irons. The totals for the year's were 3830, 4026 and 4301. In this detailed statement it was shown that bulk supply remained at three customers; dwellings rose from 1497 to 1573, and up to 1642. Businesses increased from 218 to 219 and 238. Public halls were 26, 28 and 28. Churches supplied totalled 17 in eqph year, and there were six hotels. Schools increased from 15 to 18, while street lighting customers were five for each year. Cow plants and separa ator motors were 785 in 1934, 832 in 1935, and 896 this year. Other power plants supplied went from 441 to 488 and 559. Users of electric stoves increased from 237 to 251 and 269, while water heaters rose from 580 to 586 and 620.
