HAMILTON STOCK SALE The Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly stock sale in the Frankton yards on Tuesday, 19th inst., where they had a fair entry of cow and heifer beef, fat and store pigs, while only a few odd pens of sheep came forward. Beef again showed an improvement on the previous week’s report. Prime fat cows and heifers £7 8/to £7 19/-, fat cows £6 7/6 to £7 6/-, medium £6 6/- to £6 1/-, light £4 7/8 to £5, unfinished £3 10/- to £4, fresh conditioned cows £3 to £3 10/-, stores 30/- to £2 5/-, culls 20/- to 25/-. Sheep: Well grown early shorn hoggets 22/-, cull ewes 13/-. Pigs: All classes improved considerably on late values, which was more noticeable in the fat pens. Heavy baconers £3 14/- to £3 18/-, medium baconers £3 7/- to £3 12/-, good porkers to light baconers £3 to £3 5/-, light to medium porkers £2 3/- to £2 15/-, store porkers 30/- to 34/-, slips £1 to £1 5/-, weaners 10/to 12/-, sows in pig £4 16/-, inferior £2 10/-.
