Mr S. Sellars, who has been absent from Te Aroha for a week, has returned.

Messrs W. Grounds (Control Board) and W. Goodfellow passed through Te Aroha yesterday.

Messrs W. F. Walters, chairman of the Piako County Council, and Mr P. Gilchrist, solicitor for the Council, have gone to Wellington in connection with County loans.

The Rev. W. J. Elliott, of Cambridge, brother-in-law of Mr W. W. Maingay, is on a visit to Te Aroha. Mr Elliott a short time ago went under a serious operation at Auckland from which he has not yet completely recovered. He was granted three months’ leave of absence, but expect* to resume his duties before that time has expired.
