MEETING OF CITY CLUB A well attended meeting of the above Club was held in the Fire Brigade rooms last night. Mr G. L. Manners (president) occupied the chair. Donations of 10/6 each were received from Messrs J. Roach and P. Pilkington, and Messrs F. Firkin and N. Phillips have each kindly donated a medal for competition in the senior team. A trophy for competition amongst the juniors is to be donated by Mr F. A. Jennings. Another splendid offer was made by Mr Fitzpatrick, a vice-president of the Club, who stated His intention of replacing free of charge any jersey that is torn in a game played during the season.

These gentlemen were all accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Messrs F. W. Bliss and M. Molloy were elected vice-presidents of the Club.

Several new members were elected.

A letter received from the Piako Rugby Union in reference to players receiving an injury in a match to notify the Union within 48 hours, was discussed at some length, and a motion was moyed that the delegates bring the matter up at the next meeting of the Union and have the time extended for another 24 hours.
