We have received from the publishers a copy of the May number of the Ladies’ Mirror, a journal published in Auckland and which is growing rapidly in popularity. Pictorially nothing finer has been produced in New Zealand, and from a literary point of view the journal has every thing to commend it. A great diversity of subjects are dealt with, and the feature in the May number is a special article “Our Gay Prince,” by a Court historian. Sport, fashion, music, business, motoring and social affairs all receive adequate attention, and there is nothing of general interest to women that does not receive some space. The illustrations are wonderfully good, and the whole production is most creditable to the publishers and marks another advance in New Zealand journalism.
