A VIOLENT STORM

On Tuesday morning there were indications that one of those violent storms which visit Te Aroha from time to time was approaching, fierce gusts of wind, accompanied by rain, made the conditions most unpleasant. As the day advanced the storm increased in violence and raged in an alarming way during the night. On Wednesday morning the wind died down and the sun shone fitfully, but the weather was by no means settled. As far as could be ascertained the storm did practically no damage, but it beat under doors unprotected by verandahs or porches and caused some discomfort. This was so with the new Rest Room.
