A very pleasing function took place at the Office of the Farmers’ Auctioneering Co. on Saturday morning, when Mr Norman Chapman was the recipient of a travelling rug from the members of the Te Aroha staff. In making the presentation the manager, Mr C, Andrew, spoke feelingly at losing so capable an officer, and at the same time congratulated Mr Chapman on his promotion to the more responsible position of manager of the grocery department at Hamilton. Mr Chapman commenced his new duties at Hamilton on Monday.
