FALLS FROM HORSES
RIDERS AT THE SHOW i , . Several riders fell at the Te-Aroha show on Thursday. In the bare-back race Mr Morris Burke, of Waihou, fell at the second hurdle in the competition and lay unconscious for some minutes. It was feared that he was seriously injured, but after a time he responded to the. treatment given by those who rendered first aid, and, was able, with assistance, to get into the ambulance, which took him to town. It was reported - later that he had quite recovered. Miss D. Jackson, came off at a hurdle when x-iding Native Boy, and narrowly escaped being kicked by her horse. She fell right under the horse, which kicked, just missing her head. Two other riders came down but were able to remount immediately.
